Custom Lambretta GP. Project

Dream Stealer is a bespoke Lambretta GP created by DDK Airbrushing in collaboration with owner Jason Stephenson.

The inspiration for the project came from one of the most iconic British custom scooters of the 1980s, Spirit Walker, created by the late Paul Karslake for renowned scooter enthusiast Jeremy Howlett. Rather than reproduce such a legendary machine, the aim was to create an entirely original interpretation—a respectful nod to Spirit Walker while taking the artwork in a new direction.

Inspired by the legendary British rock band The Cult, the scooter combines hand-painted airbrushed portraits of Billy Duffy, Ian Astbury and Jamie Stewart to create a unique tribute to one of Britain's most influential custom scooter eras.

The finished scooter has become one of DDK Airbrushing's most recognised Lambretta projects and was photographed with Billy Duffy, lead guitarist of The Cult, bringing the inspiration behind the artwork full circle.
